Flood Relief Fund 2025

Flooding is one of the most devastating natural disasters in the US, causing billions of dollars in damage each year and displacing thousands of families. Too often we see people create fundraisers on the GoFundMe platform asking for help in the wake of destructive floods.

GoFundMe.org has launched this fund to provide direct and immediate support to those impacted by floods this year. Tax deductible donations will go to individuals and families impacted, and to the nonprofit organizations who are responding on the ground. Every dollar will go directly to the communities in need. Current Need

Over the July 4th weekend, catastrophic floods swept across Central and South Texas, devastating homes, displacing families, and leaving entire communities underwater. With little warning, rising waters destroyed businesses, washed away roads, and forced emergency evacuations. Thousands of Texans are now navigating the aftermath—mourning lives lost, cleaning up what’s left, salvaging what they can, and facing an uncertain road to recovery.

In mid‑June, San Antonio was slammed by a flash flood when over 6 inches of rain fell in just a few hours, sweeping away vehicles and killing 13 people. This marked the city’s worst flooding in over a decade, causing extensive infrastructure and road damage.

Who we help

We deliver cash grants directly to those impacted by domestic floods. We grant to verified individuals who qualify and are fundraising for themselves or on behalf of someone else. We may also provide grants to fundraisers benefiting small businesses and community relief efforts, and to vetted nonprofits coordinating long-term recovery.
