My name is Carmen Aldana, and my heart is breaking for my hometown, Poza Rica de Veracruz. Recently, severe floods have destroyed so many lives. Hundreds of families have lost everything, their homes, clothes, furniture, and electrical appliances. The streets are filled with mud, and many people are still without power or shelter. Sadly, the government has not provided the help they desperately need.

I'm raising funds because my own family has been deeply affected. They've lost their homes and belongings too. But I believe that even from afar, we can unite to bring light back into their lives.

Animals are also suffering - so many cats and dogs have been left lost and scared after being separated from their families. They need food, care, and safety just as much as the people do.
