Friends,

It’s ugly. It’s messy. 8 feet of water and mud in our home, our 5th Wheel and our barn. Everything that Elizabeth and I have worked for is gone. Destruction surrounds us and somehow….our hearts are both heavy and full from the loss of life and the outpouring of love from family, friends and strangers who have become our family since this tragedy .

Words can’t capture the destruction we see in our home and in our community. Our cabin of 15 years, was built with love and we need your help in this recovery process to get back on our feet. The power of the water was beyond anything you could imagine. We still have a lot to be thankful for. We have each other and we are grateful to be alive.

Please pray for the river tonight, for the families still waiting for answers, and for the first responders and volunteers still out there searching.
