The Eisenhuth family served their country, and have been friends of Safe Harbor Sanctuary for years. They have given countless hours to drop their own plans and transport neglected and starved horses, they have fostered neglected horses and brought them back to health, and they have been the sanctuary foster for horses who needed comfort and love before their time to cross the Rainbow Bridge. They have also adopted several horses from us.
When it rained more than 6 inches last Wednesday night, they watched as floodwaters rose and swept away their fencing. Their horses spent the night in the garage rather than the barn. When the water receded, they were able to recover hay rings and water troughs, but they will need to re-fence much of their property.
Current needs include electric poly tape, T-post insulators, T-post caps, wood corner posts and brace posts, and a 16 foot gate. We are raising money to help cover these expenses. Gift cards to Tractor Supply are also welcome and can be mailed to us at PO Box 22, Cottontown TN 37048.
