Flood Destroys Brides Across America Warehouse
Tax deductible
My sister, Heidi Janson, is the founder of the national non-profit organization Brides Across America. On August 8, 2023, there was disastrous flooding in North Andover, MA which impacted the BAA warehouse facility. The warehouse inventory was used to support their Operation Wedding Gown events nationwide. Millions of dollars worth of inventory was lost due to flood water and contaminated mud. The inventory was designated to be gifted to First Responders, healthcare workers and Military brides free of charge. Brides Across America stocks all sizes of gowns for last-minute weddings due to deployment, Operation Wedding Gown events and other special circumstances. The loss reaches far beyond the gowns. Heidi Janson states, "This is devastating and we are unsure how we can continue our mission." There is no flood insurance for BAA as the warehouse is not in a declared flood zone.
Since its inception in 2008, over 28,000 gowns have been donated. Thank you in advance for your contribution to help replenish Brides Across America's inventory. This effort means so much to not only Heidi and her staff, but to our nation's heroes as well.
