Started on a kitchen table on March 16th, 2020, we knew we had to take action in our communities for this global pandemic. Our friends were posting #stayathome to #flattenthecurve and yet there were so many who couldn't afford to not go to work. On top of that, some are out of work suddenly for the next few weeks and won't be able to pay the expenses they need to survive through this. 

So we decided we would help.

Irtiza Mahmood, Donnie Gearlds, Connor Hennessy, and myself (Micaela Johnston) were 4 friends who came together to bringing financial solutions to a fast-growing problem. So we created Flatten the Curve Project.

Flatten the Curve Project is a nonprofit organization focused on the support of financial burdens for a community that was unexpectedly hit with unemployment and instability due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This would fund basic essentials for those in need. From rent payments to diapers to prescription medicine, we want to help those in need fund basic essentials while we have to stay at home from work to flatten the curve of this virus.
