Let us introduce you to a small and impoverished village in Haiti in Called (Ravine sèche) which means Dry Valley.
Many years ago, this place was the home of some of our natives. Various artifacts have been found in the area that shows the rich lives of their ancestors and insight to their way of living. But it's a different world now, the current inhabitants live in poverty and struggle to make ends meet.
Our organization noticed that these people barely had anything, the living situation was horrible and they had no ways of making a living because the people had no jobs. So Flassef and other organizations work together and decided to help this area out by providing basic life needs such as houses, drinkable water, and education. But more importantly, The goal is to educate the people of this village of their rich history and to also teach them certain valuable skills they can use to make a living.
Their biggest resource and a potential source of income is pottery. Why pottery ? Because their area has an abundance of clay. They can use this free clay provided by the region to make amazing artifacts, sell them and kickstart the economy in their village. The organization's goal is to educate them on how to use their resources to make money for themselves and with your help, we can help expose their art as well as invest in their education and craftsmanship
The goal of this entire project is not only to help this village but all other ones struggling. We strive to find ways to help them provide for themselves. We want the results and knowledge from this village to carry on to the rest, which in turn will make the country rise as a whole.
