Her fight is our fight! And we fight to help ease the burden. Carrie is out of PTO and going on unpaid FMLA as she fights this horrific disease... Brain cancer! As a result, in order to keep her insurance, premiums now have to be covered out of pocket as they go from two incomes to one. Carrie will be starting radiation treatment 5 days a week for 6 weeks (to fight like hell) up in Grand Rapids, which will be a lot of gas expense in addition to many other expenses not covered by insurance to make it safe for Carrie to be at home with Greg and their 3 year old son, Colin during treatment.
Greg, Carrie and Colin are all in for the fight of their life while trying to maintain some normalcy for Colin. They have an army of support rallying and praying, which we are all so incredibly grateful for! Please keep the prayers coming!
For her 21st birthday, Lauren has decided to start a "Go Fund Me" to try and raise money in support of Greg, Carrie, and Colin, to help ease the financial burdens that unfortunately are another impact of this awful beast that no one can ever be prepared for, as they do all they can to keep up the fight. Cancer Sucks!!! We love you Carrie and we are all fighting with you!! ❤️
*We are overwhelmed by the support and generosity everyone has been providing! There are no words big enough to express the gratitude to each and every person helping to ease the financial burdens brought on by the fight against cancer Greg and Carrie face! Thank you seems so small , but “THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!” Carrie is fighting the biggest fight of her life (for a second time) and she and Greg are so incredibly grateful for all the support as they and their son Colin “fight like hell” for a miracle.
