Hello dear family and friends,

As some of you know, and many of you don’t, we have been struggling to grow our family for the past 9 years. It has been a long, very challenging journey for us and we have been very private about it, as it is hard to talk about. We feel very vulnerable sharing this now, but we have reached a point in our journey where we need to call on the support of our community.

Our story (very summarized): After struggling for years with unexplained secondary infertility, and a lot of unhelpful doctors, we were able to save enough money to seek fertility assistance.

Over the past 5 years we have done countless tests, 6 IUI’s and 4 rounds of IVF. All of this took a lot out of us emotionally, physically and financially, and it was devastating to still not have our baby after all of it. Though it has been challenging, we have fought to maintain a sense of hope and trust that however long, this was still the journey toward our baby.

Recently, that hope was renewed in a big way: We found an amazing doctor who discovered some missed health issues, and Sarah had surgery in October to correct the problem. Around the same time, an old friend reached out offering to donate their embryos to us!

With this major turning point, we feel eager and excited to try again, but we could really use some help. Embryo donation still involves a lot of costs, and after everything we have already done, our savings is exhausted.

So, we are calling on our community to help. Even a small donation would be greatly appreciated. If you are unable to help financially, it also helps just to share about it - infertility can be a very lonely place, so thank you for hearing us.

Here is the breakdown of our costs:

Shipping embryos to us: $500

Transfer and other medical costs: $7,567

Contract and legal fees: $450

Storage of embryos: $1015
