Helping others comes so easy for me. It brings me Joy when I’m able to but one of the hardest things is personally asking for help! I’m not sure if it’s a pride thing or simply the fact that I’ve always “got it”, single mom super hero complex.

Today I’m asking for help! I’ve been out of work for 80 days today. And as I consider that amount of time out I’m still so thankful. Me and my son have had a roof over our head without the fear of eviction. With saying that other things have been pushed to the side or neglected simply because rent is my priority. The other things are piling up. I don’t qualify for food assistance unfortunately so that’s yet another cost I’ve been able to sustain until here recently (stretching it real thin).

I received amazing news last week which I was offered a new position. Unfortunately I’m unable to start until the next pay period which not only means a delay in dusting but also more of a delay reaching my first paycheck. My laundry business Wash and Fold Valet by Nicole LLC has been a tremendous help and I’ve been pushing advertising in hopes of bringing in more work/ income along with listing personal items for sale to help as well.

I decided to create this gofund to not only challenge me to push pride aside but to also ask for genuine help. Any amount would be helpful. The funds would go towards electricity, water/complex fees, groceries, dog food, car insurance, and auto gas.
