Fix Jim’s Home: He's Struggling to Survive

My name is Holly, and this is a sad story about a man (Jim) that my mother adored. She has been gone for many years now and he is now alone and living on a fixed income with barely enough to survive. He is in desperate need of household repairs for him to live safely.

Over the years, my son and I have stayed in close contact with Jim and care deeply for him. He treats my son like he’s the son he never had. That brightens my son’s heart because his father is not around.

Please help us help him repair some things in his home so he’s not living in unsafe conditions.

Jim‘s health has been failing, having congestive heart failure. He has fallen down his cement stairs the last three winters and broke several bones. He has a bad back and also has troubles walking. I’m hoping we can make enough to put a ramp in for him to safely enter his house.

I have a list of things that need repair and will update weekly on the progress.

His furnace is broke and winter is coming soon. His refrigerator isn’t working and at this time his toilet is cracked in half. That’s just the beginning of the list. Please find it in your heart to help and give what you can. God bless you all.
