Five Lamps Arts Festival 2023
The Five Lamps Arts Festivalis a community-based, regulated Charity arts festival located in Dublin’s disadvantaged, demographically diverse North East Inner City. The organisation aims to provide a range of affordable, accessible art experiences, encourage participation and celebrate interculturalism and diversity.
This year we celebrate our 16th birthday, and from the 13th of March to the 2nd of April, the streets will be alive with culture and creativity, from a diverse range of artists and performers from Ireland and beyond.
The festival offers a platform to a multitude of performers and to events that celebrate arts, culture, and the many positive aspects of many communities that today make up the north inner city.
The reality is that this is the most underprivileged area in the country, with the lowest participation rates in third-level education and many social problems. Yet, the streets are rich in talent and full of potential, producing creative talents from Brendan Behan to Stephen Gately, and Gemma Dunleavy to Barry Keoghan.
We passionately believe that the arts and culture are for everyone to enjoy and participate in. This philosophy will continue to be a driving force for our work throughout the festival and through 2023. Art exhibitions, theatre, dance, poetry, photography, live music, children’s events, and drama workshops - we have something for everyone to enjoy right in the heart of Dublin!
Without donations and funding, #FiveLampsArtsFest2023 simply would not be possible. All money gets put into the festival and helps to pay the talented artists who take part in the festival. Go raibh míle maith agaibh for your continued support. We’d love you to donate to this special festival and keep the Five Lamps shining for another year.
Bígí linn - beidh an craic againn!
Thank you,
