Five children in Romania need our help

Dear all,
Thank you very much for your donation offered for Our Children of Savinesti! We are grateful and appreciate every help offered. With the raised funds we’ve managed to do more than we ever thought we will be able to do. This is incredible and very emotional for the kids, for their mother and also for us.
From the total of 1600€ raised, we’ve managed to do the following:
- The kids have now 2 new extendable sofas (they were sleeping on a very old and in a bad condition sofa)
- We bought wood for the entire winter. They use the wood for heating as well as to cook their food
- We’ve changed one of the windows. It was a very old broken window that was one of the main sources of heat loss.
- They have now a new fridge and Maria made sure they have all they need for at least a couple of weeks from now.
- We bought a dresser for the kids’ clothes.
I can’t express their joy and gratitude for all the new things they now have in their home. For the ones interested, I can also share some pictures on request.
Behind these beautiful changes, there’s been teamwork. I use this occasion to thank Maria and Elena for being so involved in their story, despite the emotional difficulties that could arise. Without them, it would have been impossible to know how and what to prioritize for this beautiful family.
As I mentioned before, we would like to help them on a long term basis. There are still a lot of things to do around their home as well as covering basic necessities. For example, they need a fence around their home (as they live in a very exposed area), a water boiler (as now they have only cold water). Moreover, two of the girls need tablets to attend the homeschooling. We would also want to offer them Christmas presents.
Therefore, I’ve extended the amount for the crowdfunding to 2500 € to hopefully be able to offer them a part of the above. If you can, please continue to donate (of course, I am more than happy to provide red dots in return)
