Hi my names Mark and I’m the founder of fishingthemind mental health support group. We hope to raise enough funds to purchase a vehicle to help our community. 

FishingTheMind is 5 years old now and in Feb 2024 we became a full time CIC (community interest company)

With fishingthemind supporting thousands of people over the years it came apparent that a lot of people wanted to come along to our sessions but couldn’t due to not having transport. 

Although we try and keep our sessions local we do have some sessions which can be in secluded areas such as fisheries and difficult for people to attend due to lack of transport. 

Many people are isolating themselves which can then lead to social anxiety depression and suicidal thoughts. We need to help prevent this ! 

If we had transport to assist we could help thousands more people 

Our aim is to raise enough funds so that we can purchase our very own vehicle to help more people attend our sessions who desperately need support.

As we supply bait and equipment on our sessions it can be a lot to carry !

Ideally we would need a combi van which have 6 seats and enough space in the back for all the equipment for the sessions.

Some of the equipment we use can be bulky such as the fishing wheel barrow we use to carry the equipment when at the location of the lake.

I hope we can raise enough to make this happen. It would be an incredible opportunity for more people to come along to the sessions as we can help and assist with transport.
