I’ve always had deep respect for fellow military members and the sacrifices their families make. When I saw a post from a military mom about her two teens applying for a hunter safety class, I felt inspired to help. Growing up, I learned so much from experienced hunters—not just about the outdoors, but about responsibility, ethics, and safety. I know how important it is to have mentors, especially when a traditional father figure isn’t present to pass down these lessons.
That’s why I want to give these two teens the chance to experience their first hunt, guided by experienced hunters who can teach them the right way. This isn’t just about the thrill of the hunt—it’s about learning lifelong skills, building confidence, and connecting with a supportive community. The funds raised will cover all expenses for their hunt, including travel, gear, and processing of any antelope or deer they harvest. If there are any funds left over, they’ll be donated to Hunting With Heroes to help other military families.
I’ve already heard from others who want to help, and I’m grateful for the encouragement. With your support, we can make this a truly memorable and meaningful experience for these teens. Every contribution, big or small, will help show our appreciation for military families and give these young people an opportunity they’ll never forget. Thank you for considering a donation and for being part of this journey.
All funds collected will pay for cabin rental, food and supplies for the teens (Aiden Hansmann (2/3/2009) and haven Hansmann (12/19/2009)). Any remaining funds after the hunt will be donated to Hunting With Heroes.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to GoFundMe rules, “No funds will be used towards knives, explosives, ammunition, firearms, or other weaponry or accessories”
