Hello, I’m Cameron.

I’m a husband to a loving wife, a father to an incredible little boy, and our family is expecting a little girl to be born any day.

9/15/2025 I informed my employer my wife is scheduled to deliver our new baby this Sunday 9/21/2025. The pregnancy had been well known. After three hours of silence, I got a phone call letting me know my position had been terminated effective immediately.

My wife cares for our son at home and is set to take care of our daughter at home as well. I was responsible for our income and healthcare, and it’s gone.

While I have just gotten done applying for unemployment, insurance, and SNAP benefits to try and continue to provide for my family, and I’m applying for jobs now. I am terrified for our future and that I will fail before any help arrives.

Our village has been incredibly small over the years and we need help. I wish I had more words and could be more poetic, but that’s what’s happening.

I lost my job at 36 years old, days before my wife is scheduled to give birth to our second child, and we need help; I don’t know where else to turn.
