Hi. My name is Tammy and I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. During the recent fire in Butte County, the smoke made it all the way down to us 100 miles away. Each breath was a reminder of the suffering going on north of us. I looked on FB and found a page called “Paradise Fire Adopt  a Family” that was matching survivors with sponsors.

 I am sponsoring Amanda (who is a single mom) and her 11 year old daughter, Layla.  I chose them from a list of survivors who had also found the FB page.  They are survivors of the devastating wild fire in California. They lost everything. I have been texting with Amanda for a few days now and feel like I know her. She is trying to figure out where to even begin to start her life over for herself and Layla. PLEASE help me put together a “nest egg” for them. Amanda is trying to buy a trailer so they can have a place to live.
