Dear friends & family, this is Kaliah M. I am reaching out to everyone on the behalf of my grandmother and mother. We are one of many families who were affected by this traumatizing Eaton Fire. My grandmother Mari Morris has lived here since 1986. Mari Morris is known amongst peers in the community for her artistry “Mari Morris Tickles Collection.” She has lost all these years worth of art she created for our home and others, but not just that she lost the house she cultivated with her daughter and son for 38 years, memories…This house was always a place you could always comeback & extended friends and families home She is in disbelief and heartbroken. My mother Jasmine was raised here since she was 12 years old with my uncle
. My mother is a classical musician and lost all of her instruments in the fire. They have also raised me for 24 years at this house.
These woman are the most important women in my life, They are my rock and we move as a unit together. It’s was only 3 of us taking care of this house these last years. I am heartbroken all of my childhood memories are here. I could never go back to “home.” Thankfully we are all safe. Anything to help us stay afloat would be very much helpful and appreciated.
