Fire Relief for Kauai Ohana

Hi my name is Ingrid and I'm starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my good friends Emmy, Mingmar and their beautiful 15 month old daughter Himalaya who have experienced a tragic and unexpected event today.

On Thursday, July 15th the family was called about a possible fire at their residence. Mingmar rushed home to find that their house and all of their belongings were completely engulfed in flames and most of the home had already been brought down, leaving just the pillars in tact.

Because the home was already so far gone, this left no opportunity to save any of their belongings including irreplaceable family items, all of Mingmar's handmade instruments that he crafts and sells for a living (months worth of income), important documents, Emmy's electronics and Kangen Machine that she uses to run her online business AND their life savings. Thankfully, their dog Luna who had been stuck inside broke free and was found safe nearby.

This is a completely devastating time for the family as everything they worked hard to own, vanished so suddenly today. As anyone could imagine the feeling of no longer having a home, especially with an infant, and losing everything so suddenly is weighing heavy on them at this time

With all of this to say, Emmy and Mingmar are extremely grateful that nobody got hurt today and that their family is safe.

This family is so loved here on Kaua'i and feeling very emotionally supported by friends at this time, though the financial burden of starting over is overwhelming for them. Aside from their savings that they had stored in their home being burned in the fire, both Mingmar and Emmy's businesses / streams of income were reliant on the things that were lost in the fire today.

Please help us, help them in anyway you can to get this beautiful ohana back on their feet as they begin to rebuild their life.
