Labor Day weekend fires ravaged parts of the Colville Indian Reservation in Okanogan County including the Okanogan River area of Monse where Arnold and Gail Cleveland live. Their houses survived but they lost many outbuildings and some important infrastructure like their water system and their heating/cooling unit. Arnold is a gifted musician, including Native American flute, and a wonderful and humorous storyteller.
He has shared his gifts and wisdom with the world and it is time for the world to share in reciprocity with him.
Our hope is to raise enough money to pay for the heating/cooling system which has been estimated at right around $9,000 including installation.
Winter is coming soon and Arnold and Gail need a reliable heat source. Please help them get what they need.
The Methow Valley Interpretive Center is honored to call Arnold and Gail friends and we stand in friendship and solidarity with them.
