At 7 am on January 19, 2026, Arielle Graves woke to the smell of smoke in her home. She quickly assessed the situation and alerted her upstairs neighbors to the source of the fire on their floor.

Thanks to Arielle's quick action and Madison First Responders, all residents and their pets were safely evacuated and the fire contained.

While we are grateful beyond words that this was the outcome, the road ahead for Arielle will be difficult and uncertain. She left her house that morning with only the clothes on her back and enough time to grab her dogs.

The damage to the house is extensive and Arielle is considered displaced. She currently has a safe place to stay for her, Lady, and Knight, but a more permanent plan is still unknown. Most of her belongings are beyond repair due to water/ice and smoke damage.

She has her family, friends and boyfriend who are doing everything they can to rally around her for support. She is also working with some great resources like the American Red Cross. But as we all know, these things take time.

To know Arielle in any capacity, is to know her selflessness. She is the first person to jump to offer help and the last person to ask or expect help in return.

So I am creating this page in hopes to help to alleviate some of the immediate financial burden this devastation has caused Arielle. Some costs include replacing essentials, like clothing and moving/storage costs.
