With the school year fast approaching, the girls are left with nothing to call their own.

Tragically, the fire was caused by an electrical issue she had reported multiple times to her landlord. Despite her repeated pleas, the issue was never addressed. Now, in the aftermath, the landlord refuses to even speak with her, offering no support or accountability.

She escaped the fire with her children and the clothes on their backs—but they are starting over from scratch. As a single mom and frontline healthcare worker, she has always been the one to help others in their time of need. Today, she is the one who needs help.
