Hello, my name is Shanelle, I am Finny's mum.

Finny is an almost 12 year old boy who was born with a rare genetic syndrome called CLIFAHDD. He is severely developmentally delayed needing support with all basic needs - feeding, toileting, changing, walking and standing.

He is a delightfully happy young lad, loves being around people. If he is the centre of attention he is most happiest! Hates to miss out on anything.

Unfortunately with high needs like Finny's he needs equipment for almost all functions, and equipment is costly. This young boy is growing, and as he grows, he grows out of equipment.

We have just endured 2.5 years with the NDIS to get him a standing frame at home. Thankful the outcome was a success for Finn and he will have one soon.

The next thing he needs is a new walking frame to support him to get around independently. I don't have it in me for another battle with the NDIS.

I am hopeful that family, friends and the community will get behind this young boy and help us raise the funds he needs to get him a walking frame.

To say Thank you, Finny will build his strength and aim to walk the 1km Bendigo Ford Fun Run event in 2026. Go Finny!!
