This August, we — Finlay and Nathan, two students from the University of St Andrews — will be taking on the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak and the world’s tallest free-standing mountain.
In preparation, we will be completing the West Highland Way between the 5th - 12th/13th of January. We will be using this demanding hike to build our fitness and, more importantly, to raise funds for our chosen charity, Dig Deep.
Dig Deep believes that everyone in Kenya has the right to clean water, safe toilets, and good hygiene. The charity works in Bomet County, one of the most under-resourced regions in the country and home to over one million people. Currently, two in three residents lack access to clean water, more than half do not have safe sanitation, and many children grow up without basic hygiene education. You can learn more about their vital work at www.digdeep.org.uk.
Our fundraising target is £2,500 in which we will participate in various challenges for each milestone reached on our instagram @finlay_and_nathan_WHW2Kili
Any support — whether through a donation, sharing our journey, or following our progress — would mean a great deal to us and will help make a real difference.
Thank you for your support.
