Nourishing the bodies & minds of children in Merida, MX
Donation protected
“Do your little bit of good where you are; it's those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.” Desmond Tutu
We based Delicacies Jewelry on this powerful quote about the collective power of ordinary people to change the world.
Nine years later, we're celebrating the donation of our one millionth meal, fighting hunger in the US and Mexico, helping to further nourish the minds and bodies of the children of El Renacer del Mayab.
Delicacies has actively supported El Renacer del Mayab for over 6 years, but there is more work to be done.
Please help us raise $10,000 to provide meals and school supplies to 150 kids at El Renacer del Mayab’s three after-school meal sites in Chenkú, the south of Mérida, and Subincancab, Mexico.
Our Mission: Nourish the bodies AND the minds of the kids of El Renacer del Mayab providing them with healthy, nutritious food and essential school supplies.
More often than not, underprivileged children in Mexico arrive at school without the proper school supplies. This is frustrating for the child, the under-funded public school teachers, and the classroom in general. In addition to the daily meal Delicacies provides, we want to support the 150 kids of El Renacer raising funds and providing school supplies they need to succeed all year long.
Your generous donation will help us continue to provide food for 150 kids, as well as purchase backpacks, shoes, books, notebooks and basic school supplies these children are too frequently lacking.
El Renacer del Mayab promotes the comprehensive development of children, adolescents and their families in vulnerable situations, marginalized areas and indigenous communities, through meal programs and ongoing educational activities.
NOTE: One donor will be chosen at random for a $250.00 shopping spree at https://delicaciesjewelry.com
Delicacies will provide updates to donors regarding the purchase of food and school supplies and provide all receipts for items purchased.
