Finding Baby Roca

Ever since I was a little girl, I knew adoption would be a part of my story. I don't know when exactly it fell on my heart, but there was no mistaking that it was a huge part of my heart. When Stephen and I were dating, I told him we could only continue if adoption was something he was interested in doing someday. Luckily, he had the same heart. Now, 13 years later, we're finally in a place to start this amazing process to find our last baby.

We have chosen to go through St. Nick's Kids, an adoption agency that believes in doing what's best for the child first and foremost, and is inclusive of everyone and their stories.

We want to bring you on the journey with us as much as possible. We will give updates, make sure you know where your money is going, and be honest the whole way with what we need. I will let you know now that I turned on automated goal setting, so it breaks up the goal into smaller pieces. So whatever goal you see is not the final. Nor is what I put in the entire amount for the adoption. I only put in what we know we need right now.

The home study is $2,500. There are additional fees of ~$1,600. And the post-placement fee is $1,200. We do not know how much the actual adoption + court/lawyer fees will be. I am expecting somewhere above $10,000.
