‎For the past three years, I have been living in fear trapped in a violent marriage with a husband suffering from untreated paranoid schizophrenia. His mental illness turned into abuse that stole my safety, my voice, and everything I once was.

‎I was not only emotionally abused, but also physically humiliated. There were times he tied me up naked in the bathroom for hours, paranoid I would escape. I was left freezing, terrified, and powerless.

‎No one deserves to live like that.

‎Before this, I had dreams.

‎I was a top student, a passionate artist who made handmade dolls, and a small business owner in skincare and cosmetics. I also volunteered, offering emotional support to vulnerable children. Giving to others was always part of who I am.

‎But after I married him, my entire life collapsed.

‎He wouldn’t let me work, save money, or even leave the house. My business died. My independence disappeared.

‎Then one night, he set our home on fire destroying the last safe place I had.

‎

‎Today, I am homeless, alone, and without income.

‎But I’m not giving up.
