Hi all! For my birthday this coming week, I have set a goal of raising ***AN UPDATED TARGET OF $1000 to split between two causes I hold very close to my heart: the National Law Center on Homelessness and Poverty and the Marshall Project . If we can hit this target of $1000 that donation will be MATCHED getting the fundraiser total to $2000!!!!
The National Law Center on Homelessness and Poverty works to combat laws criminalizing homelessness in the US through legal advocacy. It's a wonderful organization with important impact that I was able to witness firsthand as a summer intern.
The Marshall Justice Project supports and produces high quality journalism specifically covering the criminal justice system, yielding media that provides the check on power and police brutality desperately needed under the Trump administration.
