Financial Support to Partha Mankala, Pomona Temple

Namaskarams! 

We are saddened to hear that the Board of Trustees of Sri Ranganatha Temple, Pomona last week has unfortunately, suddenly terminated the services of Sri Parthasarathi Mankala Swami (Temple Chief Cook), who had been performing exemplary and tireless services both to the Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi and Lord Sri Ranganatha and at Sri Ranganatha Temple for the past 11 years. 

Following are some of the devotional services performed by Sri Parthasarathi Swami during his tenure that many had an opportunity to enjoy: 

Prepared and served delicious Prasadams:

Ø  For the past 11 Brahmotsavams to thousands of Devotees

Ø  For weekly Kalyana Uthsavams with Laddus and Vadas

Ø  For the the Maha Samprokshanam in 2013

Ø  For the major Uthsavams like Krishna Janmashtami, Ramanavami, Narasimha Jayanthi, etc. (with special items meant for those religious occasions)

Ø  During the Grand Anna Koota Uthsavam, during which several items (50+ Prasadam items) on a single day

Ø  For several hundred religious’ ceremonies like Kalyanam, Upanayanam, Seemanthams, Shrardhams at temple and devotee homes.

Ø  For several occasions that are too many to be listed here!

All these were in addition to the daily preparations, often times under severe weather conditions, that too very early in the morning with a great devotion to the Lord. 

Sri Parthasarathi swami hailing from a very great lineage in Temple services for many generations, is known for his simplicity and commitment, utmost sincerity, and unwavering devotion. Parthasarathi Swami Received the "Approval" of his Services to Divya Dhampathis through the Devotees having an instantaneous smile while taking Prasadam.  He with the deep understanding of our Vedic traditions brought great spiritual fervor and added to the unique experience that one enjoys while at the Temple. 

This sudden removal from the temple services during these highly challenging times has put Sri Parthasarathi Swami and his family with serious financial distress and uncertainty.  Swami also needs to provide food, clothing, and College education to his two very adolescent children. Many of the devotees requested to start a fundraising platform to support Sri Parthasarathi Swami & his family, during this very difficult time.  

Please view this appeal sympathetically and join hands to support Sri Parthasarathi Swami and his family in this time of distress. We would like to wrap up the fund-raising on or before the end of September. Our goal is to raise as much as we can.  If you are going to forward this message to your friends, please request them to be very discreet about it, since Sri Parthasarathi Swami knows very little about this fundraising.
