My name is Rebecca Darnell, and my husband and I are expecting our son, Hugo, in June.
I was recently admitted to the hospital due to severe high blood pressure. After initial monitoring at United Regional in Wichita Falls, Texas, my care team made the decision to transfer me to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth so I can be closely monitored by my high-risk maternal-fetal medicine specialist. At this time, I may need to remain hospitalized for up to 10 weeks while doctors monitor me for preeclampsia and work to keep both Hugo and me as safe and stable as possible.
This has created an unexpected financial strain for our family. I am unable to work right now, and my husband will be traveling nearly two hours each way to be with me, while also keeping up with our household responsibilities, bills, and preparations for Hugo’s arrival.
If you’re able to donate, we would be deeply grateful. If you can’t, we completely understand — prayers, shares, and support mean just as much to us right now. Most of all, we’re asking for prayers for continued stability and for Hugo to keep growing strong so we can safely hold off delivery as long as possible.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting our family during this difficult season.
