My name is Mikayla and I’m the granddaughter of my 70 year old Nana who has just lost her home to hurricane Helene. She’s been a resident of Anna Maria island for longer than I’ve been alive and her place has seen and survived many storms. Just this past summer she finally renovated her home to her needs after losing her husband last October. That being said she has been left with nothing.
