On the evening of August 16th, after celebrating our son DJ's second birthday, he suffered a tragic accident, falling into our firepit while it was lit, in our backyard.

We are currently at Detroit Children's Hospital with him and have no definitive timeline for our stay.

KC (dad) is our sole source of income in providing for DJ, his sister, Scarlett, and covering all of our monthly expenses.

We have decided that the best course of action for our boy is for both of us to be here at the hospital with him to work alongside his medical team so that we both have an understanding of the entirety of his care both in the now and long term.

All of this to say, and we're not asking this lightly, we will need help covering our typical expenses and any possible medical expenses that may not be covered by our insurance while KC is off work because unfortunately, even in life-altering circumstances, the world and bills do not stop.
