Hi all,

I didn't think I would ever need to do this or even have this experience in my entire life. I wouldn't wish this pain or situation on anyone- even some of the worst people in this world.

October 13, 2023- [Friday the 13th, go figure], my dad was in a horrific motorcycle accident that left him in a coma for two weeks, with multiple injuries, a rod in both his legs below the knee, femur, and shattered right ankle, broken bones, the inability to drive, no use in his right hand, and has disabled his ability to stand. [ At this moment], a wired shut jaw, plus a severe TBI. A young girl [19] ran a red light and T-boned my dad while he was cruising to cross the intersection on a green light, telling him to go.

Not just the physical trauma but the mental trauma my dad has endured has been spirit-breaking for our whole family. My dad will never be the same- ever. He suffers from a severe traumatic brain injury and is recovering every day. The acceptance that this "new" dad will be with us has been difficult, but we are resilient and thankful he is still with us.

He is strong, and we have hope. However, it has left him financially unable to pay for necessities as he was a full-time working man before this accident.

We support my dad as much as we can, but unfortunately, bills have racked up, making it difficult for my family to stay above water.

I am asking if any of my friends out there would be open to donating something/ anything that will help to provide my dad with the best treatment and care he can get and to relieve some financial stress while he continues to recover.
