Milly 21 and George 19 have recently lost their beloved mum after a long battle with cancer.
Amanda's funeral is on 27th January and instead of flowers please consider donations to help Milly and George.
Amanda was an amazing woman, a friend to everyone, a wonderful daughter, sister, partner, and an outstanding mum who would do anything for her children. In 2021, she was diagnosed with oesophagal cancer. She started an aggressive form of chemotherapy that knocked her for 6. She came back fighting. She then had to get fit enough to endure a massive operation to remove her oesophagus, which she did. This left her unable to ever lay flat again and unable to eat and drink enough to sustain her body weight. She lost a lot of weight. She came back fighting. Although the main tumour had been removed, it was discovered that the cancer had gone into her lymph nodes. She had more chemotherapy and immunotherapy. She kept on fighting.
Throughout this, she was dealing with diabetes, thyroid issues, degenerative disc disease, and fibromyagia yet supporting others through Facebook groups.
In May 2024, it really was evident how many lives she had touched when so many people travelled to help her celebrate her 50th birthday.
Amanda was due to have another round of chemotherapy but had to have an operation to allow this to be successful. Unfortunately, due to this operation, she suffered complications. On 16th Dec 2024 at 5 a.m., a bright light was extinguished from our lives.
Amanda's legacy lives on in Milly and George. However, the financial hardship will be significant. With this fundraiser, I would like to raise money to help them both pass their driving test to help them become more independent.
The target is representative of
20 driving lessons for each
2 theory tests
2 driving tests
If anything more is raised or they pass the first time, then anything extra will go towards buying a car.
