Hi , My name is Stacey Tankink-Schnaitman. I am a single mother and sole provider of 4 beautiful children. However, this year has turned out to be hectic and life-changing.
I was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis at the end of June after becoming progressively ill since August of last year.
But the real reason for this fundraiser is for financial help so that I may continue caring for my oldest child Greer. Greer has Autism, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder and Sensory Processing Disorder and has been getting sicker since her second bout of COVID19 in October 2020. She has many symptoms and illnesses, and a large number must treat of specialists that I need to take her to. Greer currently sees A Pulmonologist for cough and breathing problems. She also sees a Speech Therapist to help her relearn to cough correctly. She is seeing an Opthalmologist because she had Glaucoma in her eye and now has Uveitis in both of her eyes that will not go away causing her to have blindness in bright lights and trouble seeing. Because of this she sees a Rheumatologist who puts her on a special medication I inject her with weekly to try and bring the swelling in both eyes down. It has not been working. She has to see a Physical Therapist weekly. She sees a neurologist who is running tests to see if she has Abscence Seizures. As you can see by just this alone, there is a lot every week I have 2-3 appointments for her. With that being said and my MS progressively worsening, I am asking for financial assistance for a monthly rent that would take us through February. I am awaiting an appeal on my Social Security Disability Claim. This help would also help us with utilities.
I cannot actively look for a job and have them expect me to request three days off a week or more. And I cannot be there to take care of Greer as she needs.
Therefore as embarrassing as this is to ask, I decided to bring this to the social platform. Anyone willing to help our family in anyway would be beyond appreciated. If uncomfortable with donating, please pray for Greer to start feeling better and possibly pass on this Go Fund Me.
