On November 21st at 12:01 AM, my beloved father passed away peacefully with myself and my brother by his side. Thanks to many generous donors, he was able to spend his last months in a nicer hospice facility, with better care and as comfortably as possible. He had a surgery in September 2025 and went downhill from there. He contracted pneumonia and became septic, and after ten years of battling the side effects from throat cancer in 2015, his body was tired, his quality of life was very poor, and he finally is able to rest.

Thanks to the efforts to get him into a nicer facility, I was able to save up a little for his cremation. I am only a few hundred dollars short.

I cannot begin to describe the gratitude I have for everyone who helped to make sure he was as comfortable as possible in his final days. The last and final step is to be able to get him cremated and the grieving process to fully begin.

I am embarrassed to put it mildly; however, I am so close to the funds needed, so I can pay for it all upfront without a payment plan or a long drawn-out process. He was an amazing father and my best friend. The last thing I want is for him to sit in a morgue for a second longer, and to be able to have him with me and the family so he can be finally at rest. Your donations have made his life as good as it could possibly be and any further donations made will go directly to the funeral home. The one I’m speaking to now is $750 and I am halfway there. I have never done this before and there is talk of additions, etc., making this incredibly stressful and confusing for me. The best possible scenario is to be able to simply pay and get this settled as soon as possible, hoping maybe this will allow it to sink in a bit more. At the moment, it feels like a dream and I’m not ashamed to say I need help.
