At RED (Real Estate Divas) Bay Area, our mission is to uplift communities, empower women, and create meaningful impact. For this initiative, we are proud to support Donna Dupuy's chosen organization - Women Together Global, focused on advancing women’s empowerment across Africa.
This cause is deeply personal. For over 15 years, Donna has been closely connected to the founder and has traveled multiple times to support this work. She will be traveling again this month to Malawi.
Over the past six months, she has supported the design and construction of a Vocational Training Center for young women in Malawi. The center will provide skills, resources, and opportunities for women to become financially independent.
She will be on-site in Malawi to oversee the final stages of construction, conduct a punch walk, and address unexpected challenges. Managing a project like this remotely comes with real complexities, and this final phase is key to bringing it fully to life.
Why This Matters
They are raising $40,000 over the next month to complete the center and fund its first year of operations. After this, Women Together will provide ongoing support, and eventually we will sustain the center by selling products made by the girls themselves!
While the building is nearing completion, the funds will be going towards the next phase which is critical:
- Installing a clean water and drinking well
- Providing classroom furniture and essential supplies
- A solar energy system
- WiFi for a digital literacy lab
