Red Bloom Rising is a grassroots collective using art, peace, and community as forms of resistance. On October 18th in Santa Cruz, CA, during the No Kings Protest, we will be passing out red carnations — a historic symbol of solidarity and peaceful resistance — to fill the streets with beauty and unity.

Inspired by Portugal’s Carnation Revolution, we’re bringing flowers — not fists — into the streets. Imagine thousands of us, wearing red, each holding up a carnation. A sea of beauty and solidarity that flips the narrative of “violence” into one of undeniable peace.

This campaign helps cover the cost of purchasing carnations so we can share them widely. Every flower handed out is a reminder that together, we resist with peace, we resist with love, and we resist with art.
