Hi, my name is Danielle, also known as Dela. I have been selected for this opportunity to represent Europe in the Philippines at a tournament taking place in Manila this March 2026.

Fil Euro Nation Select is a tournament that allows me to compete against other Filipino players from around the world, each with different and competitive skill sets.

I first started playing basketball in 2022, learning at local parks and through my community. I discovered a passion for the sport, as it became a stress reliever balancing study with life. It wasn’t until late 2024 that I managed to play arranged basketball for the first time at Northumbria University.

Somebody once told me, “When opportunities knock, seize them without hesitation.” The Under 19s team is the last age range for which I am eligible to play for the Fil Euro Nation Select. I want to take this as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, as I am turning 20 in April (the month after this event).
