Fijis Volunteering Trip to Build Health Centre in Rural Fiji

Hi, my name is Fiji and in June of this year I will be travelling to the Fiji Islands (where I was named after) to volunteer for a month in a rural community village where I will be helping to build a much needed health or nursing centre for the local community!

This project is in collaboration with Think Pacific, a registered Fijian charity who are in partnership with the Fijian Ministries of Education, Youth and Sports and Health, to create sustainable change in some of the poorest rural villages of Fiji.

Being named after this island, I want to do more than just visit and see the sights - I want to make a real difference by giving back to the community. The total cost of this project is £1,950 and I have been lucky enough to have been given £580 in university funding, plus the additional costs of my flights. To raise the remaining amount of £1,370 however, I will be fundraising through this GoFundMe page, in addition to many other fundraising ideas I can come up with over the next few months, such as reopening my pet sitting business (if you need any pet care in the BS7 area!), having a plant sale, and doing a car boot sale over Easter...
