Hello, I'm Anna. I am 35 years old, mum of 4 and a full time student. I am studying Educational Studies at Leeds Trinity University.

For anyone who knows me, you will know how much I try to give back to my friends, family and community. I now need YOUR help to help me give back even more.

I recently got accepted onto a 4 week charity mission to Fiji, to help empower the Fijian youth. I am needing to raise £2000 GBP to help fund my place on this amazing team and trip. The trip is due to take place in May 2023.

Whilst out in Fiji for the 4 weeks; the charity will help build community buildings, inspire and empower youth members of the community, run a healthcare work shop and a mental health work shop.

Mental health is something I am passionate about. It is always there, we cannot see it, good or bad and throughout our whole lives it affects how we feel, think and act.

This is in no way a holiday.

I will be fully committed and immersed into the Fijian culture and daily life.

I will be staying with a Fijian family and living how they live, following their beliefs and culture. I shall be away from my own family with minimal if any phone reception for 4 weeks. That is a huge thing for me as my family is my world, but I truly believe that I will learn and gather a vast amount of knowledge from this mission and give back an incredible amount of knowledge and love to my future Fijian family.

The youth that I will be helping to support, will recieve a fully funded scholarship to attend the programme. My funding helps cover this. It is a fully sustainable way of giving myself a unique experience but also investing in Fiji's future generation and economy.

This is an opportunity for myself and the Fijian community to work, learn and and grow with one another.
