Artesia Paralegal Volunteer

Dear Community,

A wonderful opportunity has been offered to me! The American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) has invited me to volunteer as a paralegal for the unaccompanied children crisis at the border. My journey will take me to the detention center in Artesia, NM for two weeks. I need financial assistance to help pay for the basic needs of my trip. This includes travel expenses and housing.

I’ve been a paralegal for Karol Brown, Attorney at Law, PLLC for the last two years. Being familiar with working with undocumented immigrants, asylum cases, and children I will be able to use my skills to provide free legal services for children and their families.

As many of you know, I am dedicated and passionate about immigration. This trip to Artesia is not for show and tell or for selfish reasons. It is a trip that will allow me to bring my professional skill set and passion to help the most vulnerable in need, children and their mothers. Being an immigrant myself, my family and I benefited from the assistance of free legal services. It is engraved in my being the importance of giving back to our community which is why this trip is so important to me.

I strongly believe that we are a reflection of our friends, family, and community. Please help me fund my paralegal volunteer trip to Artesia, NM. With your contributions, I promise to reflect you in a positive way.

Let OUR journey begin.

Thank you,
