Fighting To Keep Our Mom In The Home She Built

Hi, we’re Christa and Padyn. We are sisters, daughters, mothers, and right now, two women doing everything we can to save our mom’s home.

Our mom is a breast cancer survivor who beat cancer in 2020. After a painful separation from our dad, she’s now being sued over a business loan he defaulted on. A loan that used her home as collateral.

Because Louisiana is a community property state, she’s being held responsible for a financial decision she had no part in. Her retirement was wiped out. The business failed. And now, the home she built and fought to protect is days or weeks away from being taken from her.

We’re trying to raise $130,000 to settle the lawsuit and stop the foreclosure.

I (Christa) proudly served the US Navy for over a decade. I am separating this fall as a Chief Petty Officer to begin my next chapter as a student at the prestigious William & Mary. I'm also married to my amazing husband, who is still serving as a Navy Chief.

My sister, Padyn, is a full-time working mom and wife, and she's been helping me create this campaign and share our story.
