As students at UNT, we believe in the power of community and resilience. That’s why we are creating this campaign on behalf of the North Texas Food Bank, whose mission is “to close the hunger gap in North Texas by providing access to nutritious food.”

Right now, 1 in 6 of our neighbors are food insecure, which is over 744,000 North Texans. Furthermore, due to the federal government shutdown, 42 million Americans (including 3.5 million Texans) will lose SNAP benefits starting November 1st. The need to provide for food-insecure families is more dire than ever before. Our mission is exactly that: to alleviate the economic strain of food insecurity and ensure no mouth goes unfed.

The North Texas Food Bank already provides 118 million meals every year, but the demand continues to grow. With your help, we are aiming to raise $500-$1000 that could provide up to 1,500 meals for families in need. Every dollar stretches further than you can imagine, and each contribution brings hope and nourishment to those facing hunger.
