Our Mission

At PTWU, we believe in the strength of solidarity. We work to amplify the small amount of power each worker has, transforming it into a formidable force capable of negotiating fair agreements with employers, providing essential legal support, and, if necessary, mobilizing for direct action. Our union is dedicated to supporting tech workers and standing in solidarity with the broader working class, advocating for equitable treatment and against the exploitative practices of the global economy.

Recent Activities

On July 15th, PTWU organized its first march, bringing together digital taxi drivers from Uber, Bolt, and Faras. These drivers are demanding fair wages that reflect the rising cost of living and improved working conditions, including better treatment from in-app services and relief from harassment by county governments. This event marked a significant step in our ongoing efforts to advocate for the rights and dignity of all tech workers. This has also been magnified by the ongoing anti-government protests. The last month we've experienced anti-govt demos fueled by the Finance Bill which we were a part of. We activated our union members to join the protests, in retaliation govt started a crackdown on our key union members, raiding and destroying our office.
