Fighting for the Fiano's

Hi, my name is Amber Miller and I have been blessed to call Jamie and Nick friends for over 20 years. With Jamie's permission, we created this Go Fund Me to support the amazing Fiano family of 7 during a very difficult time in their lives.

To know the Fiano family is to love them. They are full of love, joy, faith and they love the life that God has blessed them with. After over 20 years of working hard in the landscaping and construction industry and building a successful company with their faith in God as their foundation; the Fiano family followed their hearts and God's lead and left their successful careers to join the Mission field over a year ago. On their last mission trip to the Dominican Republic in June 2023, Nick was was experiencing significant pain in his tailbone and groin area to the point that the numbness was concerning. They were anxious to get home and figure out what was causing all these problems. Once they returned home, they hit the ground running with scans, x-rays, and a hospital visit to get his pain under control. Then, the unexpected and awful diagnosis came that no one expected. At the young age of 42 years old, Nick was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic carcinoma of the colon in July 2023!

Since his diagnosis, Nick and Jamie have done everything possible to fight this awful cancer. They sought out care at several different hospitals and tried many different angles of treatment. Their journey has been everything but easy, especially with 5 children at home, but their faith has never waivered. Nick is currently under the care of an amazing local oncology group where he has received radiation and chemotherapy treatments. Unfortunately, he has been in and out of the hospital the past few weeks due to uncontrolled pain and increased swelling of his legs and feet. After a recent scan, they found out the radiation helped zap some of the tumors on his spine but in turn has caused several compression fractures. The chemotherapy is not helping as they hoped, so they are switching to some new ones and also adding immunotherapy.

Nick and Jamie could not be more grateful for all of the love, support and prayers they have received! They are beyond blessed with an incredible village! As you can imagine, they have a lot to navigate at the moment, so we ask that you provide them with a bit of privacy as they focus their time and energy on their family and providing the best care and support for Nick. Please continue to pray for pain control, tumor shrinkage, rest and intercessory prayer for physical and emotional healing for Nick. Please also pray for their family, especially Jamie, as they navigate life with 5 children ranging from toddlers to teenagers. Jamie is doing an incredible job navigating everything, and she continues to be thankful for help from their village.
