Our dad, Derrick McDonald, is fighting for his life. He’s just fifty-eight years old and has been diagnosed with stage four kidney failure. He’s now in end-stage renal disease and urgently needs a transplant to survive.

As our family works to get him the kidney transplant he urgently needs, we’re facing more than just medical bills. Some of the biggest costs come from having to travel to transplant centers, ALL of which are located out-of-state. We have to travel to each one, for consideration, until he is accepted. As well as handle all the unexpected expenses along the way.

Derrick is the heart of our family. A father of five and grandfather to four beautiful grandkids, he’s always been our protector, provider, and the one everyone could count on. He’s a hard-working, selfless man who has been there, for not just his children, but our entire family, whenever we’ve needed him. Now, he needs us!
