Fighting for My Daughter’s Right to Have Both Parents

Hello everyone,

I’m reaching out for support during one of the most challenging times in my life. I am currently in a legal battle to secure joint physical and legal custody of my daughter, Liara. Our bond is incredibly special—being her father is the most meaningful role I have ever taken on, and I am committed to doing whatever it takes to stay in her life.

Liara is so smart, kind, and full of life. Some of my favorite memories are cooking potato soup together, riding scooters while yelling "Dino Ranchers Ride," and cuddling at bedtime as she holds my hand until she falls asleep. I’ll never forget the first time I saw her laugh at the TV while watching Moana or the excitement in her eyes when we visited the dinosaur exhibit at the zoo. She has always been fascinated by dinosaurs, and she loves to wear her dino dress and fly around the backyard in her dino wings.

Our time together has been filled with so much love and joy. When she struggles with something, I remind her, "You can do hard things," and she always pushes through with determination. I’ve been there to support her through surgery, to comfort her when she’s upset, and to be her safe place when she needs it most. The idea of not being there for her, not being that constant source of love and stability, is heartbreaking for both of us.

I am facing significant legal costs in this fight to secure joint custody, and I humbly ask for your help. I know times are hard for everyone right now, but any contribution, no matter how small, will bring me one step closer to ensuring Liara continues to have a loving, present father in her life.
