Fighting for Jose Padron While Holding Our Family Together

My name is Britney Padron. I am a 22-year-old living in Atlanta, and I’m seeking help in fighting for my father who was detained by ICE in the Tallahassee ICE raids on May 29, 2025. He was working with his coworkers when the raid took place. We went 54 hours without hearing a word of where my father was or how he was, and when we finally spoke to him, he was all the way in El Paso, Texas, and he pleaded with me and my family to fight for his case, for us to stay together as a family in the United States, where he has lived for the last 24 years of his life. He has NEVER  had a criminal record.

My father is Jose Padron, a hardworking man who came to the US to build a life for his family, sacrificing everything for his 3 children and making sure we lived the American dream. He would work countless hours as a concrete finisher, a job title he was proud of, getting little sleep, and putting his heart and soul into every job he was contracted for, for a country that unfortunately does not appreciate his work. The routines, comfort, and sense of normalcy of our lives are gone now that he’s been detained. My dad took care of everything financially, and this event has been life-altering.

As we figure out this hard and confusing period of our lives, we seek your help with financially holding ourselves together with legal costs to fight his case, rent and bills, and travel expenses since he is halfway across the country. I now hold the financial responsibility for me and my 2 siblings, but I can’t do this without help.
