I've been inspired by the work of "Neighborfood Express" in providing *FREE* healthy groceries to 500+ people *EVERY WEEK* in southeast & east Raleigh! It's a program that supports people who need *OUR* help.
My name is Joe Fisher and I am a reporter at WRAL-TV! I am embarking on a "Fall Challenge" by running a 10-miler, half marathon & full marathon in the next 3 months! More on each of the races soon!! With 49 "race miles" and a fundraising goal of $50 per mile, I hope to raise $2,500 to support the fantastic work of "Neighborfood Express."
In 2018, I raised $1,500 that directly helped with the construction costs of a new school in Haiti that supports more than 80 students today.
"Neighborfood Express" is supported by the Marcus Harris Foundation. In addition to delivering free groceries and supplies, "Neighborfood Express" works with Community Empowerment Coalition to connect people with employment, housing, mental health and other support services.
